This extraordinary collection of research material was collected by Dr Anne Atkinson in the 1980s in early 1990s. It comprises nearly 10,000 pages of notes, photocopies and newspapers articles relating to Chinese Western Australians. Anne made the collection while she was working at Murdoch University and the collection was used to write her 1988 book: "Asian Immigrants to Western Australia" and her 1991 doctoral thesis: "Chinese Labour Capital in Western Australia, 1847-1947".
